MINISTER BAKARY BADJIE THANKS THE YOUTHS FOR GOING OUT TO VOTE MASSIVELY

Must read

“This day last week, NPP’s Presidential Candidate H.E Adama Barrow was declared winner of the election, and given a new 5 year mandate by Gambians.
It was a well contested election, in which the National Peoples Party device a strategy that ensure campaign activities were going on simultaneously in all regions of the country. The message resonated among the people and they overwhelming voted for us.
I was honored with the responsibility of being the Chairman for Kanifing Municipality Campaign Team – a complex metropolitan with the second highest number of voters in the country. Working together with the regional Chairman and Executive of NPP and the leadership of the allied political parties, we coordinated and delivered a huge victory for the President and our NPP.
I would want to take this opportunity to thank every individual, political group, communities etc that had supported in anyway to ensure we triumph over our opponents. The collective work before and during the campaign has yielded results that will remain in history.
Special thanks and commendation goes to the Regional Women Mobilizers and their teams of Yai Compins, Youth Coordinator and youth mobilizers, the Chairmen of the 7 Constituencies in the Municipality, current and former National Assembly Members and Councillors, Elders Council, religious leaders and veteran politicians, and of course my great #TeamBax.
Lastly, #bravo to the YOUTHS for going all out to change the popular saying that “youths don’t vote” – you all went out to vote massively this time – reason President Barrow has declared that his new term is dedicated to the youths. You can be assured of a government that will listen to you, and work towards uplifting your living standards and your holistic development.
As I look forward to the opportunity of continuing to work with you with renewed dedication and commitment to our collective welfare, I say Thank you for giving us a convincing victory
