On Tuesday 16 November, 2021. The party leader and the Secretary General of the National Unity Party (NUP) Hon. Abdoulie Ebrima Jammeh arrived in Kuntaur Fula Kunda in Central River Region; at the Northern part of the the Gambia.
Upon his arrival, the Standard flag bearer of the National Unity Party expressed his gratitude for the welcoming remarks by the villagers.
Speaking at the event, Omar Njie who spoke on behalf of the village called Kuntaur Fula Kunda welcome the leader of the National Unity Party, His Excellency Hon. Abdoulie Ebrima Jammeh and his delegation.
Mr Njie said, “the village is in a bad situation whereby the Government of the Gambia neglected us in their National Development Plan (NDP)”. He further said, “we are tired of voting in a sense that, after voting period when they come to power, Kuntaur Fula Kunda is always extricated in the Development Program, but we the people of Kuntaur Fula Kunda are very optimistic that the leader of the National Unity Party (NUP) and his Government will come to our aid”, he assured.
Yai Sillah who also spoke on behalf of the Women in the village said, ” the women in Kuntaur Fula Kunda are facing lot of difficulties such as Health care, Agriculture, Education and so on”, she lamented.
Madam Sillah promised the leader of the National Unity Party, Hon. Abdoulie Ebrima Jammeh that, their voters card will be given to him on the 4th of December she promised”.
She continued to say, if Hon. Abdoulie Ebrima Jammeh become the President of this country let him help the people of Kuntaur Fula Kunda in their Development Programs.
Mbakkeh Kejira, the Chairman of Kuntaur Fula Kunda said, “we have a rice field and a big garden in the village but still these places are not working due to the lack of equipments and tools for us to engage in Agriculture”.
The Deputy Spokesperson of the National Unity Party, Saidina Abubakar Jarju called the people of Kuntaur Fula Kunda for them to vote for the leader of the Party (NUP) Hon. Abdoulie Ebrima Jammeh on the 4th of December if they want their problems to be solved
On his concluding remarks, the party leader and the Secretary General of NUP Hon. Abdoulie Ebrima Jammeh thanked the people of Kuntaur Fula Kunda for their wonderful efforts and well welcoming by the people of the village.
