While President Adama Barrow, the flag bearer and the leader of the National People’s Party (NPP) is busy with his campaign at the Provences, his two wives— the first lady Fatou Bah Barrow and the second lady Sarjo Mballow, are not relaxed on the quest of their husband’s winning the December 4th presidential election. The presidents two wives hold a meeting at sanchaba which was attended by hundreds of NPP supporters.
The purpose of the meeting was to convince and urge the Gambians, more especially, the people of Sanchaba to vote for NPP for it is the National People’s Party and it stands for change. Assuring the people of Sanchaba development, first lady promised the people of Sanchaba a hospital. “Ever since I became the first lady, the hospital is my second house and by the grace of God I will see what I can do to help you with what ever you want”, Fatou Bah Barrow promised. She further urged the youths to work hard in this country because no one from another country will develop this country if not the youths of this country.
In her concluding remarks, she thanked the NPP supporters for always being there by saying, “we appreciate the nomination and the support but let’s turn it to vote on December 4th elections”. During the meeting, the people of Sanchaba cheered and intermittently praised the first lady.
