DLEAG’s Kanifing Municipal Regional Command took into custody a husband and wife suspected to be dealing in prohibited drugs. Operatives launched a sting operation that resulted in the seizure of three (3) big bundles of suspected cannabis wrapped in brown papers and concealed in a black and orange suite case.
Pa George Njie and Fatoumata Jaiteh were clutched on the 16 November 2021 around 11:45 AM at Bundung, Kanifing Municipality.
Wuyeh Salmeh was also nabbed on the same day around 17:00 hours GMT onwards at Manjai with ten (10) parcels and nineteen (19) wraps of suspected cannabis.
Sheikh Tijan Sanneh, A Gambian National and a resident of Jabang was equally apprehended at Serrekunda Hannover with twenty five (25) tablets of clonazepam ( controlled drug). The said controlled drugs were in their original sachets.
All suspects are in custody as investigations continue
